Role: You are the schools careers advisor. Audience: Your clients are the student and his/her parents. Situation: The context, in which you find yourself, is the student would like to pursue a particular career however their parents are feel that another would be better suited, they have come to you for help. Product, performance and purpose: You are to create an oral presentation with visual material. In doing this you will need to take the following steps 1. Complete a compare and contrast chart of the TWO selected careers (see attached compare and contrast chart) 2. Write a draft (using the Career 1 and Career 2 scaffolds). From the draft material write a final copy that you will use as your oral presentation of information to be presented to the parents and the student. 3. Compile visual material you will rely on to support your presentation.
